What You Can Do To Make Your Own Mental Sunshine

Fear is something that defines us as children with a sceptical mindset. We are terrified of the future, of poverty, of unemployment, of dishonour and humiliation, of disease and death – and it appears to me that we are sometimes terrified of life itself!

We are afraid to live; we are afraid to work; we are afraid to walk; we are afraid to speak. We go from one fear to the next, crushed by the weight of a miserable existence!

At some point in our lives, fear casts a gloomy shadow over us. We have an almost instinctive terror response. Fear affects all of us, whether we are at the top of the food chain or at the bottom. The most powerful countries are wary of their adversaries and neighbours. Politicians don't want to lose elections. People are concerned about their future. Students are terrified about failing their exams. Mothers are concerned about the safety of their children.

All of our problems stem from fear. All of our misfortunes are caused by fear. Constant fear depletes our vital resources, leaving us too spent and fatigued to appreciate the pleasures of life. The mind is paralysed by fear, just as the body is paralysed by a stroke. It affects the neural system, resulting in stress and anxiety. It has a negative impact on our health. Worst of all, it deprives us of happiness and disrupts our mental health.

Milton remarked, "The mind is its own place, and in itself, it can construct a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." Fears and phobias can be created by the mind, but so can security and self-confidence. We must be courageous if we want to live life to the fullest.

There are two choices available to you. One option is to give in to your anxieties, allowing yourself to be overcome by them and thereby making your life unpleasant. The other – and better – option is to overcome your worries with God's assistance. You will accomplish incredible achievement that will alter your life if you do this. We all have the ability to attain it.

To be free of fear, the first step is to recognise that, like all other human flaws, fear can be overcome. God did not implant it in you. You got it in one of two ways: you took it on yourself or the environment in which you live instilled it in you. Fear, whatever it was, may be overcome.

You are not doomed to live your entire life in terror. The Bhagwad Gita advises us to be fearless. Have confidence in the almighty and be fearless.

Life's uncertainties must be faced head-on in an attitude of acceptance. Running away and escaping are not viable options. Life necessitates that we act courageously. Justice would be impossible to achieve without the courage to act. Compassion and understanding would not exist without the guts to love. Faith and optimism would not flourish without the fortitude to persevere!

Never underestimate the strength of the mind, the strength of will. Fearlessness, as well as our own health, pleasure, and harmony, are all dependent on our thought patterns. Happiness, too, is a result of constant right-thinking. Flowers of calm, joy, and tranquilly will flourish wherever you walk as a result of your mental sunshine! As a result, foster the desire to be fearless - make your own mental sunlight!
